Dairy Centre

Dairy Projects website launched

A website has been launched to feature tools and information for the dairy industry.

The TIA Dairy Centre has developed a new website: www.tasdairyprojects.com.au
The aim of the website is to communicate the activities of the TIA Dairy Centre to the Tasmanian dairy industry. The site features regular updates of the events in the Tasmanian dairy industry, key resources and tools to assist dairy farmers and all the centre's current projects and findings.

Development of the website has been funded by Dairy Australia in conjunction with the TIA Dairy Centre. Key features of the site include:
Activities page – Information on all TIA Dairy Centre projects. Projects are sorted into themes of Extension, Business Management,  Animal Nutrition, Climate Change, Feedbase and Farm Systems and Natural Resource Management.

What’s On page – An calendar updated monthly with all the industry’s events, discussion groups and field days.

Resources page – All project information and manuals available for download, plus tools developed to help make more informed management decisions.

Tassie Dairy News – The current industry newsletter is available for download along with previous editions.

TIA Dairy Research Facility – Contains information on what's happening at the research facility at Elliott. Content includes fortnightly reports and what research is currently being carried out.

Dairy Smart – Our key extension project has a page with background material, the group running in your area and the kind of material presented at Dairy Smart field days.
